Elijah is disguised as Russel and had the idea of incorporating his 90-year-old grandparents under the name of Carl and Ellie. Richard and Caroline Bain, birds of love of real life, were the spitting image of the animated couple.

Perman, a part-time photographer, took the photos herself and posted them on Facebook, where they became viral. Elie's twin sister, Emilee, also organized a birthday photo shoot. She decided to pose with a dressed horse as a unicorn.

"Five years ago, I was diagnosed with cancer just after the birth of my twins and I was even scared to see their fifth birthday," CBS News told Perman. "My oldest was 5 years old at the time and I hated not knowing if I would get the same time with them as me."

She had been sick for about a year and is now in remission. She went to the fifth birthday of her twins, which she was not sure about. So, she wanted to party in a meaningful way. "It's a party for me and them!" she says.
