It was an anti-culminating end to what could have been a heavyweight Friday at Bellator 215.

Matt Mitrione (13-6 MMA, 4-1 BMMA) earned an additional kick on Sergei Kharitonov (28-6 MMA, 2-1 BMMA) just 15 seconds from their main event. It took a second for the pain to register with Kharitonov, but in doing so, he immediately fell on the canvas, apparently dying.

In the end, the fight was to be banned when Kharitonov could not continue.

Check out the highlights of this fight in the video above, which also includes the decision of Logan Storley (10-0 MMA, 5-0 BMMA) on Ion Pascu (18-10 MMA, 0-3 BMMA); decision of former leanweight champion Eduardo Dantas (21-6 MMA, 11-4 BMMA) against Toby Misech (11-7 MMA, 1-1 BMMA); John Douma's (4-1 MMA, 1-0 BMMA) upset Mike Kimbel (2-1 MMA, 2-1 BMMA); and the submission of Cody Jones (6-3 MMA, 0-1 BMMA) by Austin Vanderford (7-0 MMA, 1-0 BMMA) in his promotional debut.

The Bellator 215 took place Friday at the Mohegan Sun Arena in Uncasville, Connecticut. The main map aired on Paramount and aired on DAZN after the preliminary matches of MMAjunkie.
