After Sunday's victory over the Seahawks in the pre-season, the Vikings had two players in the Pro Football Focus Week team.
Offensively, center Brett Jones formed the team with a PFF score of 90.5.
Here is an introductory text of PFF on Jones:
On 29 shots blocking the passes, it did not allow to make a bag, hit or hurry. He was even more impressive as a race blocker, producing a score of 90.0 for blocking the PFF race, leading the other players.
Defensively, safety Harrison Smith trained the team with a PFF score of 90.2.
Here is an introductory text of PFF on Smith:
Smith was on the field for only 17 shots Sunday, but his presence was nonetheless felt. On the cover, he had a break, while his only tackle of the day resulted in a defensive stop. He played only 32 shots this preseason but seems ready for another great year.
It is promising to see two players that will impact the Vikings on the field in 2019 play strong games in pre-season. Of course, it's more Smith than Jones, but Jones will likely be an indoor offensive lineman by rotation for this team and should get a lot of shots.
During Presesason Week 1, no Vikings were part of the PFF team.
