HUNTSVILLE, Alabama – Vice President Mike Pence's visit to Huntsville on Tuesday is expected to trigger backups of Interstate 565 traffic.

Pence, president of the National Space Council, will be in town on Tuesday for the fifth council meeting. It takes place at the Space and Rocket Center of the United States.

Huntsville police said traffic on I-565 would go up intermittently in some areas from 10am to 11am and from 2pm to 11pm.
