As you know, Telltale Games is gone. The studio closed in full development on The Walking Dead: The Final Season. Fortunately, Skybound Games has arrived and saved the last two episodes of the series.
In an interview with Telltale's creative director, Kent Mudle, we learn that the latest episodes of The Final Season are going exactly as planned by Telltale.
By the time of Telltale's closure, Episode 3 had just touched the center of development, which was beautifully called Milestone Evaluation – that is, all vocal work had been recorded and all visuals were in any state. So, episode 3 really had to be finished and get a series of normal changes with a few pinches and a few kinks anyway. Episode 4 had already recorded his first turn of voice. The first version of the episode was written and recorded.
Fortunately, before the closure of Telltale, we had already discussed. You know we are working with the Skybound editorial to get their feedback and we already knew what we planned to do. Although we did some minor revisions and tweaks, it was exactly what would have been if Telltale had not exploded, really. And it was a proof of Skybound's willingness to allow us to make our own vision without trying to interfere in this way, apart from giving us feedback. But that was exactly what we had planned and we would all agree with Skybound even before Telltale closed.
