The website of the Apple Store broke down [Update: Back Up]

Apple's Apple Store online site is currently down when attempting to purchase an Apple device or accessory, but the reason the site is unavailable is not entirely clear.

Sometimes the Apple online store breaks down due to an imminent product refresh, but at other times it becomes unavailable for routine maintenance tasks.

Apple last week introduced updated MacBook Air models and a new 13-inch entry-level MacBook Pro, which coincided with this year's Back to School promotion, but nothing helps to know if a other new product is coming.

Apple could possibly schedule an update of the iPad in the form of a new iPad recently appeared in the database of the Eurasian Economic Commission, which could be a new generation at low cost iPad, but we do not know when this device is set to launch. It may only happen later this year, and this could potentially be a situation in which Apple performs site maintenance.
