Luke Perry and his fiancee, Wendy Madison Bauer, planned to get married later this year before his shocking death, according to their "save the date" cards.
TMZ got one of their "save dates", and she was planning a wedding at the end of the summer in Los Angeles. It looks like Luke and Wendy have planned to get caught on August 17th. The map does not go into more specific details, but it indicates the invitation would follow.
BTW … the "save the date" card has been elegantly designed, with a gray and gold color scheme and a naïve Inline style font. Very Gatsby-esque.
Wendy broke her silence over the weekend, expressing her gratitude for the outpouring of love and support she was received after Luke's death earlier this month.
We broke the story … Luke died at the hospital a few days after suffering from a massive stroke in his home in southern California. Doctors have calmed him in the hope that he will recover, but he has never done it.
About Luke, Wendy said, "The last 11 years with Luke have been the happiest of my life, and I'm grateful to have had this time with him," she continues. "I would also like to thank his children, family and friends for their love and support. We comforted each other and knew that our lives were touched by an extraordinary man. We will miss him tremendously. "
It's unclear when Luke and Wendy got engaged, but it's clear that they wanted to formalize things very soon.
