The Weeknd’s new music video fixes typing issues

It looks like The Weeknd’s new music video is too flashy for the big screen.

A video for the singer’s upcoming single, “Take My Breath,” literally showed excessive blinding lights and was shot ahead of its release in Imax theaters for the premiere of “The Suicide Squad,” according to Variety. The video clip in question featured “intense strobe lighting” which could trigger seizures.

The deal with Imax would have made it possible to preview his new music video during film screenings across the country. The normally dark and gloomy vibe of his clips is often offset by carefully placed bright lights.

The song, released on Friday, is the first release from her fifth studio album. The upbeat single was previously teased on an American team Promotion of the Tokyo Olympic Games who featured this year’s top female athletes.

The 31-year-old singer, whose real name is Abel Tesfaye, is no stranger to testing the limits in his music videos and performances. He looked unrecognizable in the “Save Your Tears” video, showing the face of someone who had drastically altered their face with overly over-the-top plastic surgery procedures.

The bloodstained aesthetic seems to be a staple for the Canadian-born singer.

The weekend "Take my breath" was featured in a promotion for the United States Olympic team.

He made a statement last year in the video for his hit song “Blinding Lights”, with a bruised face that was gushing with blood. He once again perfected the “beaten” look in his rendition of the song at the 2020 VMAs.

In a recent interview with GQ, he said it was the album “he always wanted to make”.

“What makes one of my albums successful, especially this one, is that I put it out and I’m excited to make the next one,” he explained. “So the excitement of doing the next project means this one has been a success for me. I want to do this forever. And even if I start to get into different mediums and different types of expressions, the music will be there. I’m not going away from it. “

Just because the song wasn’t shown during Imax movie screenings doesn’t mean the clip is gone for good. Fans can still expect it to drop sometime after the single was released on Friday.
