The weirdest thing about the movie "Dora the Explorer" is it real?

So, first of all, yes, there is apparently an action movie based on Dora the explorer, a Nickelodeon children's show so popular that there's almost no chance you've ever heard of it before. There is a monkey, an exploration of the jungle, a language learning, all in all, it is not a bad show if you are stuck with babysitting.

But a live action Dora the explorer the film sounds like a gag, like Funny or Die Captain Planet restart with Don Cheadle, or a real action Dora the explorer this College Humor set up years ago. True, there is a huge market for content based on nostalgia, like a forthcoming Scooby Doo movie and, you know, all Strange thingsbut we do not really know who Dora and the lost gold city may be beyond those who wanted confirmation that Dora would become Lara Croft from tomb Raider.
