The wonderful promotion of Ms. Maisel propels Los Angeles

LOS ANGELES (AP) – Promoting a popular TV show on Amazon in Los Angeles has caused chaos when drivers queued for hours to take advantage of the 1950s gasoline prize.

Amazon has collaborated with nearly 30 companies to cut prices on Thursday in honor of the show "The Wonderful Mrs. Maisel", presented in the 50s, as part of an Emmy Awards campaign.

Police had to close a 30-cent-per-gallon promotion at a Chevron gas station in Santa Monica after impatient customers lined up, resulting in traffic delays on the Santa Monica highway heading west for hours.

A motorist came to complain on Twitter, saying it would have been a better idea "if we had the same number of cars on the road as in the 50s".
