The classic of the Nintendo DS, The world ends with you, finally gets a second game in what appears to be a prequel called Neo: The world ends with you.
Based on the trailer, we can see a whole new batch of players being sucked into the Reaper game, meaning they’ll have to fight for their lives using magic pins. Most of the characters are new faces, with characters fans will recognize from the original game, like Sho Minamimoto. While he was a reaper in The world ends with you, looks like he’s a grim reaper game player in Neo, which is why we believe this game takes place before the original.
The new main character is a blond kid named Rindo, and much like Neku from the original game, we don’t know much about him … yet.
This new game takes place in a 3D environment that still retains the stylistic charm of the original game. You’ll be able to run around trendy Shibuya while completing challenges and slaughtering monsters.
Neo: The world ends with you will be released for PlayStation 4 and Nintendo Switch in summer 2021.
