Parents of young children know how rare it is to have time for themselves. For Brittany and Tyler Davis, parents of a 20-month-old son, these events only happen three times a year: Brittany's birthday, Tyler's birthday and their birthday.

This year, on the occasion of Brittany's birthday, on February 24, she and her husband Tyler, 29, have planned a night in a hotel near the Easton Town Center, an indoor and outdoor shopping complex. located in Columbus, Ohio. They live about 90 minutes southwest of Wilmington, Ohio, and the trip was Britain's first visit to the state capital.

"On February 23, my husband and my son and I drove to my in-laws and left our son with them," Brittany told Dateline. "We then continued our way up to the Hilton hotel, which is right across from the mall, and we probably arrived around 5 pm"

Tyler Davis, 29 years old.

Brittany said that a close friend, who lives in Columbus, has spent the hotel spending time with them. A few hours later, around 8:30 pm, the three of them left the hotel to walk around the mall.

"We had dinner and went out for the evening," said Brittany. "We walked in the city center to take the field because we were going to go shopping the next day and we planned a couple massage."

Brittany told Dateline that nothing came out of the ordinary that night. But by the time they had gone through the huge shopping complex – which included no less than 235 retail stores, 40 restaurants and 750 residential units, according to his website – it was around 3 am and everyone was exhausted. They brought Uber back to the hotel. Brittany said it was when the night was starting to change.

"When we were coming out of Uber, Tyler seemed so confused and frustrated," Brittany told Dateline. "He said that he was going for a walk."

Brittany said that she had offered to accompany her, but that her phone was dying, so their friend left with Tyler, while Brittany went into the hotel room to charge her phone. She returned outside a few minutes later, she said, but could not find either her husband or their friend.

"I was a bit confused, like:" What's going on? "" She says. "Then Tyler called me around 3:30 am and told me that he would be back [to the hotel]. "

A few minutes later, the couple's friend returned to the hotel. Tyler was not with him.

"He said Tyler would be back too. But I tried to call Tyler and he did not answer, "Brittany said. Brittany added that their friend had seen Tyler on a walk, but she did not know why or when they had separated.

Around 4:10 am, about an hour after Tyler left, Brittany's phone rang. It was Tyler.

"He called and said," I see the hotel. I walk in the woods. I will be there. Brittany said. "He seemed so confused. And he is not at all an outdoor person. There could be two trees one next to the other and it would call it "wood".

Seconds later, Brittany's phone rang again. It was Tyler.

"I answered and there was an open line for about four seconds. Then the phone hung up, "Brittany said. "I called him back and his phone was off. And he's been off since. "

Brittany told Dateline that it was nearly 4:30 in the morning. Their friend, who lives with Brittany and lives just 10 minutes from the hotel, has decided to return home. Brittany told Dateline that she "did not have a good feeling" about her husband's safety and began calling friends for advice on what to do. According to Brittany, her friends reassured her that everything was fine and that Tyler was probably going to go through the door at any time. But as the sun began to rise, Brittany became more worried.

"I called a former roommate who lives in Columbus. At 8 am he came and we toured Easton. Maybe Tyler is asleep on a bench? We did not know what had happened, "Brittany said.

Brittany then called her in-laws, Tyler's parents, to tell them what was going on. At approximately 10:30 am, she called the Columbus Police Department to report her husband's disappearance.

"After talking to the police, my father-in-law arrived," said Brittany. "He searched each place on foot, alone. He stayed there until it went dark.

Brittany drove to her in-laws' house to look after her and Tyler's son. She says that she returned to downtown Easton that night to continue looking for her husband. The authorities also searched, she said. But no one found any trace of the missing father.

The Columbus Police Department did not respond to Dateline's request for comment by Monday night, but Brittany said the authorities had done a lot of research and were viewing security images.

"There are a lot of missing people in this area, but I only have one husband," Brittany said. "There are so many different things that could have happened, but no track is going anywhere. He would not want to leave.

Tyler Davis is described as being 5 feet 10 inches and weighing 170 pounds. with brown hair and brown eyes.
