WARREN County, Ohio (WXIX / Gray News) – Skylar Richardson was sentenced to three years probation after being found guilty of mistreating a body.

A seven-day prison sentence was commuted for serving his sentence.
She was found not guilty of the more serious charge of aggravated murder, manslaughter and endangering children.
Before the sentence was read, Richardson made a statement.
"I can sometimes be selfish. I'm mad at everyone. I'm sorry forever. I am really sorry. I am really, really sorry. And I understand. And thank you, she said.
Judge Donald Oda has spoken directly with Richardson.
"We often forget how precious life is … Your life … Annabelle's life I firmly believe that if you had made different decisions, Annabelle would be here today.

The paternal grandmother, Tracy Johnson, spoke in court Friday about the pain it caused her and her family.
"2 years – 4 months – 1 week. In case you're wondering, how old would my granddaughter be if she were here today? Broken, broken, destroyed … none of these words describe how I feel, "she said.
Johnson said he discovered that his son, Trey, was the father of a publication on Facebook on January 29, 2018 due to a misdemeanor problem.
"Every May 7th … I do not have a birthday party. I send balloons to paradise telling him how much his father loves him – I love him, "she said.
Judge Oda ordered that Annabelle's remains be returned to the Richardson family within seven days and said the Richardson's should provide access to the Johnson family.
If Richardson violates his probation, she could go to jail.

The former cheerleader at Carlisle High School, 20, was charged with killing her newborn baby in May 2017 and having buried the remains in her family's garden.
Richardson, who did not show much emotion during the trial, cried when the verdicts of not guilty were read.
She seemed relieved that the only charge for which she had been convicted was a corpse abuse.
The jury, consisting of seven women and five men, took only four hours to decide.

Richardson's attorney, Charlie Rittgers, said he expected this result and an early verdict indicated he was in their favor.
"I really believed in the case. Skylar is innocent, "he said. "In my heart, I think Skylar had a stillborn baby."
Warren County Attorney David Fornshell stated that he felt that Richardson had been given a fair trial and that he was convinced that no medical cause of death occurred. had contributed to this verdict.
"Although we have not had the opportunity to speak to the jury, my thought is that they are likely members of this jury who believe that Brooke Richardson killed his child. But there were other people who thought we had no proof beyond a reasonable doubt, "he said.
Richardson can expect his criminal record to be cleared three years after the end of his probation.
