Theories of 'Game of Thrones' fans for the last season – Variety

After eight seasons, Game of Thrones fans will finally see if their conserved theories will bear fruit. Dozens of important characters and a complex plot have prompted intrepid viewers to try to predict the twists and turns of the plot for years. The original theory of R + L = J being confirmed, which means that Rhaegar Targaryen and Lyanna Stark were the real parents of Jon Snow, the speculations of the fans multiplied for the last season.

Here are some theories that even the great masters can not predict.

Tyrion is a Targaryen

Tywin Lannister was never a fan of his son Tyrion, who killed his mother in childbirth and frequently called him "No son of mine". Readers of "A song of ice and fire" noticed that the mad king Aerys II Targaryen was actually Tyrion's father, which would make him a brother of Daenerys and Rhaegar, as well as the third symbolic head of the sigil of the Targaryen dragon.

The three are important to the Targaryen – Daenerys and King Aegon had three dragons, and Dany heard a prophecy in the books saying, "The dragon has three heads." However, it seems more likely in the show that Jon Snow is the only Targaryen secret.

Probability: 1/5 Drunken dancing tuples

Jaime will kill Cersei

The manager could become a sailor.

Maggy the frog, the season 5 witch who had prophesied that all of Cersei's children would die, also predicted in the books that she would die at the hands of her little brother (her "valonqar"). Cersei is a few seconds older than his twin brother Jaime, leaving him and Tyrion as his potential killers. As we saw in the first of season eight, Jaime left King's Landing to help Winterfell's forces fight white walkers, which certainly irritated his sister. The dog and the mountain may not be the only brothers and sisters to fight to the death this season.

Probability: 5/5 glasses of Cersei wine

Bran is the king of the night

With his dizzying vision and exceptional powers, Bran has the ability to go back and influence history in the "Game of Thrones" universe. He witnessed the birth of the king of the night thousands of years ago and broke the spirit of Hodor while he was only an innocent boy. Stable named Walder in Winterfell.

Fans think Bran could find a way back in time and live like other historical characters in the series, such as Bran, the builder of the Stark family's fame. He obviously has an important interest in the story of "Thrones", but could he really be the big bad Night King?

Probability: 3/5 Brans looking awkwardly

Cleganebowl will arrive

Sandor Clegane c.a. Dog against Gregor Clegane c.a. Mountain in a fraternal battle to the proportions of the Super Bowl. This is the confrontation that everyone was waiting for, and both have slaughtered since Gregor held Sandor's face in a fire, leaving him with his iconic burn.

The final of season seven briefly gathered the two men at the cast at King's Landing, but left fans looking for a fraternal confrontation. "Game of Thrones" is synonymous with winnings, which could result in one of the fiercest fights in the history of the series. Bonus points if the Dog dies, then resuscitates as a white walker, giving a completely undead Cleganebowl.

Probability: 5/5 Frowned Dogs

The child of Jon and Daenerys will govern Westeros

If the first of season eight was an indication, some people are not too excited for Daenerys to take the Iron Throne. Jon has already pledged his loyalty to Princess Targaryen and, although he has proven to be the legitimate heir to the throne, he has never been so enthusiastic in leadership positions – his reigns as that commander of the night watch and the king of the North were handsome reluctant.

While the two main characters stagger, many predict that Daenerys will eventually become pregnant and give birth to a little royal baby. However, there are chances that she, Jon or another character will survive her reign, and that "Game of Thrones" is not one to step forward to a Jonaerys offspring on the throne completely developed.

Probability: 2/5 princes who have been promised

The Night King will resurrect long-dead characters

The only thing that could make the final Thrones battles more intense would be if the favorites of the deceased fans were rekindled to fight as members of the white walker's army. We saw the king of the night bring Viserion in the form of a zombie dragon in the last game of the season. Since then, fans have been calling for more undead characters.

The Winterfell crypt has garnered a lot of attention this season and its addition to the reworked title sequence of the show could indicate that members of the Stark family, like Ned, Catelyn and Robb, are resurrected. Readers were outraged by the absence of Lady Stoneheart, a marriage after Catelyn Stark's red wedding, which could be a way to remedy her absence from the series. Who knows if these actors would like to return to Thrones so long after they leave, expect minor characters like Tormund or Gray Worm to die and be brought back.

Probability: 2/5 baby blue-eyed zombies
