The XFL unveiled Wednesday the names and logos of the teams of its eight franchises.
"The names and logos of the teams were chosen exclusively to represent the spirit of the football fans in their respective cities and mean fun and football, nothing more," said XFL Commissioner Oliver Luck in the video. of the announcement.
The Vince McMahon-sponsored football league is set to begin February 8, the weekend following the Super Bowl. The games will be broadcast on ABC, ESPN and FS1.

Luck announced that the games will have a shorter game duration than the NFL and will end in less than three hours, with simpler rules and fewer ads.
But unlike the first short-term iteration of the XFL, this time it aims to complement and not compete with the NFL.
