Acer has introduced its brand new series of gaming notebooks aimed at casual gamers. Nitro 7 laptops combine performance, a 15.6-inch display with a maximum refresh rate of 144 Hz, a metal chassis, and a z-height of less than 2 cm (0.78 inches). Like other products in the Nitro series, new laptops will be relatively inexpensive.

The gaming notebook market, which has grown significantly in recent years, is actively segmenting as consumers do not just want enough computing power for their games, but rather a special combination of features tailored to their specific needs. The new Acer Nitro 7 is a good example of how PC manufacturers are trying to meet the demands of their customers. The Nitro 7 is located between mainstream and high-end gaming PCs, offering style and affordability to today's classic notebooks while delivering superior performance when equipped with premium components.

The new Acer Nitro 7 comes in an elegant black brushed aluminum chassis. With a thickness of 19.9 mm (0.78 inches), the laptop should be easy to carry. Meanwhile, the keyboard and trackpad of the laptop are backlit in red, which highlights its game pedigree.

The sleek chassis offers rather serious performance. The Nitro 7 is based on an Intel 9th Gen Core processor, discrete NVIDIA GeForce GPU, and up to 32GB DDR4 memory. To keep the processor and graphics processor running smoothly, the Nitro 7 uses a cooling system with two fans and two exhaust ports, as well as technology CoolBoost of the company, which increases fans' speed by 10% during extended gaming sessions. In addition, the system has two M.2 slots for PCIe 3.0 x4 SSDs running in RAID 0 for optimal performance and a 2.5-inch bay for a hard drive with a maximum capacity of 2 TB.

For maximum playability, the Nitro 7 can be equipped with a 15.6-inch IPS display with a 1920×1080 resolution, a refresh rate of 144 Hz (with overdrive) and a response time of 3 ms.

As for connectivity, the Acer Nitro 7 has everything you would expect from a modern gaming laptop: a 802.11ac Wi-Fi + Bluetooth 5 controller, a GbE port (controlled by the Killer Ethernet E2500 in some SKUs and equipped with Network Optimizer Software in other cases), a USB Type-C connector, three USB Type-A ports, an HDMI output, and a 3.5mm jack for headphones. In addition, the machine is equipped with stereo speakers and a set of microphones incorporating MaxxBass and MaxxDialog software enhancements, as well as a webcam with IR sensors for Windows Hello.
