Third man arrested in connection with Mac Miller's death

A third person was arrested in connection with the death of Mac Miller.

Stephen "Stevie" Walter was arrested Monday in Los Angeles, according to TMZ, after determining that his co-suspect, Cameron James Pettit, had contacted him to ask him 10 pills of Percocet blue in the name of the rapper.

Pettit was the first suspect arrested in connection with Miller's death in 2018 earlier this month.

Police said at the exit that Pettit had looked for pills to Walter after discussing the details with Miller. Walter then sent a runner to transport the tablets to Pettit, who handed them to the rapper around 5:30 am on September 5, 2018. The rapper "Knock Knock" died two days later after taking counterfeit oxycodone tablets encrusted with fentanyl. He was 26 years old.

Walter was charged with conspiracy and attempted distribution of a controlled substance, according to Rolling Stone.

Authorities believe the rider was Ryan Reavis, the second man involved in Miller's death. Reavis was taken into custody after investigators searched his home in Lake Havasu, Arizona, and discovered a notebook, unspecified medication, accessories and a "usable" amount of marijuana.

Following the arrest of Pettit, agency officials warned, "Let our message be clear: if you peddle illegal drugs and kill somebody, the DEA will be the voice of the victim … We do not let's not rest until you are confronted with the justice system.
