This 26-pound giant cat became a star after an animal shelter said to need a home

BeeJay, a 26-pound, 26-pound tabby, became viral after the Morris Animal Refuge in Philadelphia released photos of the heavy kitty for adoption.
"OMG, big boi, Mr. B is a CHONK, he's a chonk chonk, he's redefining the term," the refuge wrote in an appropriate description.

It is not his fault he is so tall, says the shelter. Mr. B is "really fat," but with a face as gracious as his, he was probably fed with too many treats.

The heavy body and perpetually oppressed expression of Sweet Mr. B have inspired legions of fans – and many legitimate offers of adoption.

The Philadelphia Police Service even offered him a place in the force if it was not adopted by chance.

"Uh, if he's not adopted (very unlikely), he's welcome to join our K9 unit as his first Feline member (he's a cat, right ?!)," The tweeted department.

Fortunately for Mr. B, it does not seem that he still has to rest and grab for a full-time job.

The shelter said the interest in adopting the fluffy mastodon was "overwhelming" since the photo was shared Thursday. Now he just needs to have a thorough exam with his vet before he can officially meet the lucky new family.
