Cadillac brought in big hitters to advertise its XT6 2020 crossover. General Motors' luxury brand called on Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU) veterans Anthony and Joe Russo to lead the ad. The Russo brothers led both parties Avengers: war in the infinite and Avengers: End of the game, as well as the second and third films of Captain America.
The Cadillac ad has no superheroes (Audi seems to be the MCU's favorite brand). Entitled "Crew Ready," the purpose of the ad is to show how the three-row XT6 is the best vehicle for your crew. It represents different groups of people who are idling (what, you and your friends never do that?) In the direction of the XT6, who enter and leave by car, while the message "Welcome to the party" of Diplo plays at the background.
The XT6 is an important new model for Cadillac. The brand has spent years building sports sedans to compete with German luxury brands, but in the meantime, buyers' tastes have changed. Crossovers are now the most fashionable commodity and Cadillac has been found with a big gap in its lineup.
Cadillac has built the XT6 to connect the XT5 and Escalade, as well as to keep wealthy parents from established competitors such as the Audi Q7 and the Volvo XC90, as well as the Lexus RX350L and the future Aviator from Lincoln. To do this, Cadillac has endowed the XT6 with high quality interior materials, from a high roof offering a spacious third row and a Sport model with an all-wheel drive to torque vector. But Cadillac has left out Super Cruise, the sophisticated driver assistance system currently available only on the CT6 sedan. The only engine available on the XT6 is a 3.6-liter V6 developing 310 horsepower and 271 pounds of torque.
The Cadillac XT6 2020 is on sale now at a base price of $ 53,690. Cadillac has a few other new models in the pipeline, including the CT5 and CT4 sedans, as well as the V-Series Performance versions of these cars. A little later, Cadillac will also launch its first 100% electric car (GM said that Cadillac would become its leading brand for electric cars, but that other models had not yet been announced). We wonder who Cadillac will run the ads for these cars?
