Fujifilm has announced the launch of the new 102 megapixel GFX100, a 102-megapixel medium-format mirrorless camera that the company describes as "a breakthrough in digital camera technology and capability." This is the new flagship camera in the GFX range.
At the heart of the camera is a 102MP backlit CMOS sensor, 55mm diagonal, the same size as the GFX 50S and GFX 50R. In comparison, full-frame 35 mm sensors are approximately 43 mm diagonal. 55mm is about 1.7 times the surface.
The 102 megapixel resolution is the highest resolution ever offered in a mirrorless camera. This camera has a native ISO of 100 ISO and a maximum ISO of 12800 (expandable to 102400).
The GFX100 is the first digital camera with a larger sensor than the full frame to offer image stabilization in the body and a hybrid autofocus with built-in phase detection, with a coverage of almost 100%.
Image Stabilization in the 5-axis body (IBIS) provides up to 5.5 levels of stabilization.
The entire shutter system is suspended by four springs inside the camera to reduce shocks caused by the shutter.

The Hybrid Phase Detection AF system superimposes other medium-format digital cameras using 3.76 million pixel phase detection over most of the sensor, allowing photographers to focus on subjects located anywhere in the frame.
