TVLine can confirm that This is us Griffin Dunne – who plays the adult version of Jack's younger brother, Nicky – has become a full-fledged regular for the fourth season of the NBC drama series (read preview). Dunne joined the show in Season 3 as a recurring guest.
As noted by our sister site, Deadline, which announced Dunne's status change for the first time, the growing importance of the character was announced in the final moments of the season 3 finale, when Nicky was seen (via flash -forward) to 
sick at Rebecca's bedside. Dunne appeared briefly during the premiere of season 4 of Tuesday, when he crossed the path of his fellow warrior Cassidy (played by Once upon a time"Jennifer Morrison).
