The all new Nickelodeon All-Star Brawl is now in the wild and the fighting game community has started to dig into the new platform fighter, and although the allure of having Nicktoons from all generations has grown. has proven to be more than enough to pique interest, the fact that these iconic toons aren’t backed by any voice acting is problematic for many.
A content creator by the name of Obnoxious Artist edited the initial Nick All-Star Brawl trailer to include vocals from Spongebob’s Tom Kenny, The Loud House’s Jessica DiCiccom, Invader Zim’s Billy West and many more. ‘others. Keep hearing Tim Curry finally screaming “SMASHING” the way you wanted for the past few months.
We actually talked about the obviously missing voice in the last segment uploaded from the EventHubs podcast. This is one of the many issues facing the game here in its early days, and while we’re not sure the hiccups will outweigh NASB’s strengths, we can’t say we’re not. at least a little worried.
It doesn’t take a lot of imagination to imagine how potentially difficult it would be to fit so many high profile players into a game like Nick All-Star Brawl, and so we won’t be too quick to blame the developers. here.
That said, with this type of content (i.e. cartoons), it’s not unfair to say that the depictions seem hollow and largely incomplete when not accompanied by the one aspect that most gives them their soul and their personality.
We hope, without holding our breath, that Nick All-Star Smash ends up having character voices (much like what happened with Power Rangers: Battle for the Grid) but will have to be content with the video below. for the moment.
