April 8-bit fish!
The players were surprised to open their games on the 1st of 2018 to meet all the normal Pokémon sprites in the ads, nearby and even in their Pokémon Box to be replaced by 8-bit old models! This joke lasted a little too long and continued until April 7, 2018. After a few days, the joke became obsolete and the players were split in two. those who loved it and hoped that it would stay longer, and those who wanted it, went as fast as possible.
Latias and Latios debut
Latias and Latios were announced on April 2, Latias touring European and Asian countries, while Latios appeared in North and South America, as well as in Africa. On May 8, the dragons exchanged seats until June 5.

Pokéstop Image Updates
It seemed that little was happening in early April 2017, but I managed to find that many Pokéstop images from around the world were updated with images taken by Ingress players.
