Thousands of people without electricity in western New York during a windstorm

BUFFALO, NY (WIVB) – NYSEG and National Grid report that there are thousands of customers without electricity during the windstorm in western New York.

National Grid said the biggest blackouts at 2 pm Sunday are in Buffalo and Byron in Genesee County.

NYSEG said there were hundreds of people without electricity in Southtown.

If your power is down, it is advisable to call National Grid at 800-867-5222 and NYSEG at 800-572-1131.
