PHOENIX – Three people died and three firefighters were seriously injured in an accident involving a Phoenix fire truck.
Phoenix police said two adults and a six-month-old child had been killed in the Sunday morning accident between a Phoenix fire truck and a pick-up truck. The names of the victims have not yet been published.
The accident occurred around 9:15 am on 29th Avenue and Bethany Home Road.

Three firefighters were taken to the hospital in critical condition, Lewis confirmed. At this point, they are listed in a stable state.
Bethany Home Road is expected to remain closed during the next hours of 27th Avenue at 31st Avenue while crews are busy cleaning up the scene. Police advise drivers to avoid the area.
At the present time, it is unclear what led to the collision.
