Three people hospitalized after a possible drowning report

EAST GULL LAKE, Minnesota – Emergency personnel faced a drowning risk Sunday afternoon, May 26, near the Gull Lake complex in East Gull Lake.

A call for help was placed around 15:55. Pillager Fire and Fire Chief Greg Ringler said the initial scan report indicated that three children were in the water. On the scene, it was learned that the victims were three adults. Ringler said that one of the adults was able to grab the other two people and return to the sea. Once out of the lake, they were all breathing and talking, Ringler said.

Ringler said all three had been transported by ambulance to Essentia Health-St. Joseph's Medical Center in Brainerd.

The offices of Sheriff of Cass County and Crow Wing, the Minnesota State Patrol, Pillager Fire and Rescue and North Memorial Ambulance also attended the scene.

The Cass County Sheriff's Office has already responded to two possible drownings last week. Authorities responded in the afternoon of Monday, May 20, when Sandra Crow, 69, of Mora, Minnesota, was found motionless in the water, near a wharf. from Woodland Resort, in Kabekona Bay of Leech Lake, just north of Walker, Minn.

The sheriff's office then responded Tuesday, May 21, to the death of a man who died in Louise Lake, Wabedo Township, in rural Longville, Minnesota. The man was identified as Robert Mindock of Illinois, 78 years old.
