Three sailors serving aboard the USS George H.W. Buisson Aircraft carrier committed suicide last week.
None of the incidents were reported and none of them occurred on board the ship that is moored at the Norfolk Shipyard in Virginia, Navy announced Monday.
The three sailors were identified as the chief nuclear electronics technician James Shelton, Airman Ethan Stuart and the first-class aviation commander Vincent Forline, according to Task and Purpose.
"Every seafarer's death is devastating and affects the entire navy family," said Jennifer Cragg, spokeswoman for the Norfolk Naval Base. "Our thoughts and condolences go out to the Sailors' family, friends and fellow shipmates."

"My heart is broken," Captain Sean Bailey, the ship's captain, wrote.
"The time has come to come together as a crew and as a family to mourn, support each other and care for those in need," Bailey said. "We need All Hands to engage by presenting your suggestions and ideas on how we can work together to prevent another suicide." The USS George H.W. Buisson joined the fleet in 2009 and is named after the former president, who was a naval aviator during the Second World War.
