On Saturday, April 20, at approximately 1:45 am, deputies were sent to block 200 East El Cerro Loop block, where shots were fired in the area.
Members arrived at the scene and found three dead men – Darren Bernal, 40, and Nathan Morrison, 28, Belen, and Joseph Santiago, 29, of Albuquerque – who died from numerous gunshot wounds.
Witnesses described hearing several shots and seeing a blue SUV fleeing the scene. The vehicle was located a short distance from the scene. Justice officers and Dowdy, Wilson and William were arrested in connection with the shooting.
Detectives from the VCSO Criminal Investigation Division are present at the scene, as well as from the crime scene units of the State Police of New Mexico.
At the present time, there is no outstanding interest person sought by the law enforcement agencies.
