Three Tennessee football players were arrested for drug trafficking in an incident Tuesday night at a college dorm.

Second-year linebacker Martavius ​​French and incoming rookies Aaron Willis and Isaac Washington are among five people arrested for simple possession and paraphernalia of illicit drugs, according to the University of Tennessee Police Journal published Friday. University police have sent a safety notice following the Stokely Hall incident, described as an assault and burglary by a group of four or five men.

According to the notice, a resident of Stokely Hall was assaulted by a man, while “three to four other men entered the residence and went to another room in the apartment where it was believed to have taken some items. belonging to the victim ”. The victim and a roommate could not identify the group that entered the room.

French, a native of Memphis, did not play for Tennessee last season. Baltimore linebacker Willis is an ESPN 300 rookie in the 2021 class. Washington is a defensive lineman from North Carolina. Another student from Tennessee, who is not an athlete, was arrested along with an anonymous minor.
