Messi loves to play Sevilla
Lionel Messi again destroyed Seville on Saturday to continue his incredible record against the Andalusians.
He managed a brilliant hat-trick to win the match for Barcelona and also got his 11th assist of the season in La Liga.
He now has 36 goals in 35 games against Sevilla, who must be really fed up with seeing the GOAT.
The boss Pablo Machin admitted after the match that Messi seemed really happy to be able to face his team.
"We have faced one of the best teams in the world and the best player in the world, who has received our number and seems to have particularly pleased us," he said.
The good news for Seville is that at least they will not have to face Messi this season anymore.
Suarez really needed this goal
It is no secret that Luis Suarez has had recent difficulties, but he ended his five-goal drought after Messi put one on a plateau in stoppage time.
The Uruguayan was strongly criticized last week, but it must be remembered that his goal was to score his 16th goal in 24 games in La Liga.
Suarez certainly looked happier after the match since he was posing with Sergio Busquets and Lionel Messi and a bag of ice on his lap.
Barcelona really needs Suarez to come back to life. Let's hope that his shot against Sevilla will allow him to rediscover his style of striker.
Umtiti is finally back but needs games
Samuel Umtiti was a surprise in the inclusion in Barcelona XI since he made his first start since November 24th.
It was reported in the week that Umtiti would not be hastily dismissed, and Ernesto Valverde was rather unobtrusive at his pre-game press conference on his possible departure.
It was also reported that Clement Lenglet had been forgotten because of a virus, but he was also under a yellow card against a ban that could have been another factor in his omission.
In any case, it was great to see Umtiti in action after such a long absence, although he had a difficult afternoon in Seville.
Pablo Machin's team posed problems at the counter, and the lack of Umtiti matches was sometimes revealed, perhaps unsurprising given the time he was away.
It is however a big step forward for the international of France and hope that it will be able to stay fit for the rest of the season.
