Tickets for the last stop of Bill and Hillary Clinton's lecture tour cost just $ 20 on the secondary market, as their adventure in 13 cities continued to struggle to find an audience.
The best seats in the Seattle WaMu Theater on Friday could be sold for $ 829, a 54% drop from the $ 1,785 that the former first couple had recovered from the announcement of the tour in early November.
But the organizers quickly had to reduce their prices and even offer ducats at a reduced price via Groupon to increase their sales.
Official prices for Friday's appearance ranged from $ 66.50 to $ 519, the Seattle Times reported.
"I really believe we're in crisis, a constitutional crisis," said Hillary Clinton during the 90-minute performance presented as an interview with actor Bradley Whitford, along with her husband. "This is a test for our country."
