A neighbor in the Los Angeles suburb where great golfer Tiger Woods crashed is hailed as a hero for apparently rushing to his aid after calling 911 in the wreckage of the rollover.

The unidentified married man in his 60s who lives next to Tuesday’s crash site in the Rancho Palos Verdes rushed to the scene after Woods, 45, apparently lost control of his Genesis GV80 SUV 2021 along an accident-prone stretch outside of Los Angeles, The Sun reported.

The man who allegedly took action to help Woods declined to be questioned early Wednesday, but another Rancho Palos Verdes resident called him a “hero,” according to the report.

“We heard that he had rushed from his house to Tiger’s car as soon as he called 911,” another neighbor told The Sun. “He helped the officers get Tiger out when they arrived. The accident was right behind his house, so when he heard it he knew right away it was a serious accident.

Woods would have no memory of the wreckage that left him with a broken right leg. He faces a long road to recovery, including extensive physical therapy and other leg operations, medical experts told The Post.

No criminal charges are being considered in the crash, and Los Angeles County Sheriff Alex Villanueva said Wednesday there was no evidence to indicate reckless driving on Woods’ behalf.

“There are many elements to a charge of reckless driving,” Villanueva said. “It’s purely an accident.”
