The Detroit Tigers and veteran field player Josh Harrison have agreed to a one-year contract, confirmed a source at Jeff Passan of ESPN.
The athlete was the first to report the deal on Wednesday.
Harrison, two stars, became a free agent when the Pittsburgh Pirates turned down a $ 10.5 million option on his contract in November.
Harrison, 31, spent his entire eight-year career in Pittsburgh scoring at .277 with 52 home runs.
