To help promote Apple iPhone 12 mini, the manufacturer turned to TikTok influencers. According to 9to5Mac, these TikTok users were hired by Apple to create 5G-enabled device-focused promotional videos with the 5.4-inch AMOLED display. In April, a new verified Apple account was noticed on the short form video app with no content and with just 1,312 subscribers. Now, about seven months later, There are 376,500 TikTok followers following the account. And four videos were posted to the account with views ranging from 371,100 to 1.3 million.
The most viewed of the four videos shows a person working in a company’s shipping department. This guy has a magic touch; pressing an item with your finger will collapse that item. It presses down on a full-size piano shrinking the instrument enough to fit in a box that says Extra Small. Doing the same with an iPhone 12 Pro turns the latter into an iPhone 12 mini.

With over 800 million active uses worldwide, Apple’s TikTok account is becoming an essential form of social media-based advertising for Apple. Of course, there is still a possibility that TikTok will be banned in the states following the executive order signed in August by President Donald Trump. However, just 55 days before President-elect Joe Biden takes over, it’s possible that TikTok will remain an extremely popular app in the United States that Apple will continue to enjoy.
