So much sense that San Francisco would have had an extreme interest in the New York Giants receiver, Odell Beckham Jr. last year as well. An exchange never materialized, however.

Basically, Simms says that because the powerful and infallible Patriots saw enough good guys in Beckham to try to buy it, the Giants thought, "Well, if these guys want it, it must be worth it. So, we better keep it. "
I understood. But go. It's a bit much. Do organizations honestly think this way? Are teams scared to keep the guys on the payroll if other teams want it? Even if the Pats are the other team involved?
