Country stars Tim McGraw and Tyler Hubbard have released a new single together.
“Undivided” was released at midnight on Wednesday, and in its lyrics, the musicians call for unity among people despite their race, political and religious beliefs. The song’s release comes at a time of heightened tensions among Americans following the riots that took place last week on the U.S. Capitol.
“I think it’s time to come together / You and I can make a change / Maybe we can make a difference / Make the world a better place / Look around and love someone / We’ve been hateful for ever long enough / May the good Lord gather us together until this country we love is undivided, ”McGraw and Hubbard sing in the choir.
Hubbard announced on Instagram that he wrote and produced the song.

McGraw, 53, also shared a link to the song on Twitter ahead of its release.
“When are we going to start seeing someone else’s eyes?” McGraw wrote.

Tyler Hubbard wrote “ Undivided ” on the Florida Georgia Line tour bus with guitarist Chris Loocke as he quarantined himself away from his family.

According to Radio.com, Hubbard co-wrote the song with guitarist Chris Loocke on the Florida Georgia Line tour bus. It was then that the artists were in quarantine after testing positive for COVID-19.
Hubbard called the time he worked on the song “special” while away from his family for 12 days.

“I have definitely missed my family. It was much more difficult for my wife than for me, ”he said. “She was in the house chasing the babies while I went to a party on the tour bus, but for the most part it was just a special and very inspiring time.”
Hubbard went on to share that he thinks the song is “what we all need now”.
“It is also a matter of responsibility for us. If we want to sing this and this is our message, then we have to live up to it. We have to look around and love the people. We have to let God be in control. and lead us, ”Hubbard told the store.

The release of “Undivided” comes just a week after Hubbard and his Florida Georgia Line teammate Brian Kelley confirmed they would be releasing solo music but were not going their separate ways.
