Historically, Harry only participated in the state visit of the Spanish monarch, where he accompanied the Spanish delegation to Westminster Abbey. CNN's royal source said that in the future, she would hope to see the Sussex participate in more public events.
Buckingham Palace also revealed Friday the schedule for Trump's three-day visit, which will begin on June 3rd.
First day of the Trump state visit to the United Kingdom
The President and First Lady will be officially welcomed at Buckingham Palace in London by the Queen, Prince Charles and his wife Camilla, the Duchess of Cornwall.
Trump will receive a welcome ceremonial in the palace garden, then inspect the guard of honor consisting of Charles Nijmegen Company Grenadier Guards. Meanwhile, royal fire will be fired in the vicinity of Green Park and the Tower of London.
The queen will then organize a private lunch for her guests before inviting them to see a specially organized exhibition at the photo gallery. The exhibition will be composed of elements of the royal collection of historical significance for the United States.
The first day will end with a sumptuous banquet of state at Buckingham Palace.
Second day of the Trump state visit to the United Kingdom
June 4 will be a more political affair, Trump joining outgoing British Prime Minister Theresa May for a working breakfast alongside the Duke of York at St James Palace and senior British and American leaders.
The president then goes to May's official residence at Downing Street for talks and lunch, followed by a press conference.
That evening, it will be the turn of the Trumps to host a dinner at Winfield House, home of the US Ambassador, in the presence of Charles and Camilla on behalf of the monarch.
Day three of the Trump state visit to the UK
Finally, on June 5th, the Queen will accompany Charles and his visitors to commemorate the 75th anniversary of the D-Day landing at Southsea Common in Portsmouth. The naval town on the south coast of England was an important embarkation site for the Second World War.
The event, to which more than 300 World War II veterans will also be present, will include a musical performance, readings and military demonstrations, including an overview of 25 modern and historic aircraft.
Heads of state and government from the countries involved in this historic military operation should also attend.
The queen officially bids farewell to the US president and the first lady of the port city, who will leave in private later in the day, thus ending the state visit.
The schedule did not mention other members of the royal family such as William and Catherine, Duke and Duchess of Cambridge.
From the United Kingdom, the Trumps will travel to Normandy, France, at the invitation of French President Emmanuel Macron, to continue the commemoration of D-Day. In addition, Trump and Macron will also hold a bilateral meeting.
