Tina Fey and Amy Poehler return to the Golden Globes

Here’s what’s happening in the world of television for Sunday, February 28. All hours are eastern.

The best choice

78th Annual Golden Globes (NBC, 8 p.m.): Amy and Tina are back this year, which is great news for the Golden Globes, as there’s a chance their expertise will at least slightly offset all of the Not so good Things. But even their hosting duties don’t seem so familiar, as they will broadcast from different coasts. At least they’re definitely standing over six feet apart?

Yet, are the Globes even really the Globes if no one takes off her shoes while holding a martini on stage? We will discuss this and many other important issues in our live blog. Join Danette Chavez, Shannon Miller and Katie Rife for their coverage starting at 8 p.m.

Regular coverage

American gods (Starz, 8 p.m.)
The walking dead (AMC, 9 p.m.): 10th mid-season premiere

Joker card

Last week tonight with John Oliver (HBO, 11 p.m.): It’s been an eventful week – and of course, okay, every week has been an eventful week for many, many weeks now, but it’s still true. This week, we can’t wait to hear what John has to say about the state of his vacuum and the death of the minimum wage plan, although we may have a second part on the packaging industry from meat? It would be nice too.
