Titanic director meets Avengers: Endgame breaks record at box office

Legendary filmmaker James Cameron responded to the news that Avengers: Endgame had surpassed its own Titanic to become the second-biggest box-office success ever recorded.

Posted on Twitter, Cameron sent his message to Marvel Studios' CEO, Kevin Feige, and to all other Marvel members. "An iceberg sank the real Titanic.It took the Avengers to sink my Titanic.Everyone here at [Cameron’s production company Lightstorm Entertainment] salute your incredible achievement. You understand that the film industry is not only alive and healthy. It's bigger than ever! "

The message was accompanied by a cheeky graphic showing the logo of the Avengers sinking the Titanic.

Endgame reported $ 2.277 billion worldwide in just 13 days, enough to surpass Cameron's Titanic ($ 2.187 billion). Endgame no longer follows that another movie from Cameron, Avatar, which is the most profitable film in history with $ 2.78 billion in global box office.
