"It's a really awful situation to feel like that and get into the locker room and tell these guys that you will not be with them for four games – it breaks my heart," Lewan said last month. . "It's difficult, man. But I was very frank with Jon (Robinson) and (Mike) Vrabel and Amy (Adams Strunk) and I spoke to them right away.

"I do not want the legacy, or what I've done in the last five years, to be tarnished because of that, because of something like that, it was an accident complete that I will try to repair. "

Lewan posted a video last month and said he received a letter from the NFL a few weeks ago in which he said he failed a drug test for ostarine.

At a press conference early in training camp, Lewan said he was innocent, but the triple Pro Bowler knew he would probably miss the first four games of the season. Lewan said he "did not take anything knowingly" to "deceive the match".

The Titans will open the 2019 season on Sept. 8 in Cleveland before games against the Colts, Jaguars and Falcons.

Lewan will be eligible to play for the first time this season on Oct. 6 against Buffalo.

"It's going to kill me," Lewan said. "It will be a horrible situation to sit on Sunday and watch TV. Come to an establishment where I have been at home for five years, knowing that I am not allowed to enter. It will break my heart. It breaks my heart now to talk about it.

"This has never meant any malicious intent and I take full responsibility for the suspension. … I'm not running away. But it's really going to kill me to know that I will not be here to help the boys. In case of defeat, you will always ask yourself: "Is there anything I could have done?"
