19:39: The Titans’ pursuit of Dupree will produce a contractual agreement. Dupree will sign with Tennessee, Pelissero and Ian Rapoport from the NFL.com report (on Twitter). Although the terms are not fully known, Rapoport tweets the former Steelers sack artist will receive $ 16.5 million per year under a multi-year contract.

7:14 p.m .: Needing help speeding up passes, the Titans have identified a target. They take on longtime Steelers defenseman Dupree with NFL.com’s Mike Garafolo and Tom Pelissero reporting (via Twitter) Tennessee is pushing hard for the five-year-old vet.

The Edge Rusers market, which is deeper than in recent years, is changing rapidly. Leonard floyd, Matt Judon and Yannick Ngakoue have chosen teams. The Titans are trying to strike a deal to remove another pressure artist from outside the set.

The Browns are also in the mix for Dupree, by CBS Sports’ Jason La Canfora (on Twitter). However, some members of the Steelers organization expect Dupree to end up with the Titans.

The Dupree agreement will be interesting; He’s still recovering from the ACL tear he suffered at the end of the regular season. The Steelers are unlikely to re-sign the former first-round pick. They used their franchise tag on Dupree last season, and he became a key part of a passing rush that drove the NFL into the 2017-20 sacks. Dupree broke through in his first year on the contract, registering 11.5 sacks in 2019. The Steelers have seen the former Kentucky sack eight in 11 games, but the knee injury will affect his market.

Pass by Jj watt, the Browns may need to strike fast on the front faster. They’ve been saying for weeks that they’re ready to sign a big name bookends for Myles Garrett. While the Browns were connected to From Miller, with the Broncos’ option decision on the future Hall of Famer still undetermined, but the group of free agents is thinning.

Tennessee posted one of the worst third-failure defensive efforts in modern NFL history last season, and GM Jon Robinson’s additions to Jadeveon clowney and Vic Beasley lack. Dupree would represent a bet, given his injury and inconsistency, but the Titans need to add help here to team up with Harold Landry. Tennessee has already agreed to terms with D-lineman Denico Autry; an addition of Dupree would greatly help Landry and Jeffrey Simmons.
