Sean Milliken, who appeared on TLC's my
600 lb life in 2016, is deceased. He was 29 years old.
Milliken's father announced in a Facebook message on Tuesday
that his son had died, TMZ
reported. Matt Milliken explained that his son had developed an infection and
died of complications during his hospitalization.
"On Sunday, he had breathing problems, they
were able to resuscitate him and soon after, his heart stopped ",
Milliken's father wrote.
Ashley Boone, a friend of Milliken told
Radar that he was a "special guy".
"It was definitely a loner and kept for him but once
knew him, he opened up and showed his spiritual side, "she said. "He was extremely
funny, artistic and kind. "

Sean Milliken appeared for the first time in Season 4 of My life of 600 lbswhen he was bedridden and weighed more than 900 pounds. On the show, he explained that he had started to overeat when he was a child in order to cope with a difficult relationship with his father. After working with Dr. Nowzaradan, Milliken managed to lose 400 pounds.
In a follow-up episode aired in the summer of 2018, Milliken revealed that his mother had died in 2017 and that he was struggling to cope with the loss.
"A few months ago, my mother went to the hospital because
she did not feel well and she was only getting worse, "Milliken said.
in the episode. "They said she had kidney failure and she did not survive. She
died a few weeks ago and I'm devastated, and I do not know what to do
now because my mother was everything to me.
How TLC reacted to Milliken's death
A declaration, TLC said they were "saddened" to hear Milliken's passing.

On the TLC Facebook message announcing the death of Milliken, the fans of the series also shared their condolences. Several people were touched by his career and the obstacles he encountered.
