Today I learned that Nvidia’s RTX Voice works on older GTX graphics cards

Nvidia’s RTX Voice feature, which eliminates background noise that would otherwise pass through your microphone, debuted exclusively on expensive RTX graphics cards. My colleague Taylor Lyles wrote in September 2020 that the company had patched the RTX Voice software to work on older GeForce GTX, Quadro, or Titan branded GPUs until September 2020, but I just remembered today ‘ hui of Tom’s material.

Since Nvidia’s latest RTX 30 series graphics cards are expensive and hard to find (as are just about any type of GPU that performs well enough), this is a good way to extend the usefulness of the hardware more. old if you don’t want to upgrade yet. . If your graphics card is running Nvidia’s 410.18 driver, models up to the GTX 600 series released in 2012 should be able to run the feature once you download it. Here is a link to the download.

Correction: This article was originally written as if this feature coming to non-RTX GPUs is new. Nvidia confirmed to The Verge that it has been available since late September 2020 when Nvidia launched its streaming application. We regret the error.
