One of the world’s most dominant male swimmers, Caeleb Dressel got off to a good start at the 2020 Tokyo Olympics by leading the United States to gold in the men’s 4×100-meter freestyle relay. The United States finished with a time of 3:08:97, just ahead of silver medalist Italy and bronze medalist Australia.
Led by Dressel, the US team took gold thanks to the tremendous efforts of Blake Pieroni, Bowen Becker and Zach Apple, who got the best share of all Americans with an anchor point of 46.06.
After winning two gold medals at the Rio Olympics in 2016, Dressel is on a similar trajectory this time around.
