When Tom Brady finally changed his “10 more years” retirement plan to the year he turned 45, the end of his football career was set for 2022.

It’s becoming increasingly clear to Brady that the landline isn’t. How far will it go in the decade?

In an interview with Wall Street Journal Magazine Regarding the launch of the Brady clothing line, Brady reconfirmed that he is definitely playing until 2022.

“Beyond that, I don’t know,” Brady said. “Maybe it’s another year after that; it may be two. I’ll have to see where I am with my family. This is probably the most important factor – what I miss.

He also made it clear that he didn’t want to miss the feeling that he could still do it.

“I don’t want to be in there and suck,” Brady said. “Do you think I want to go out and look like I’m 44?” I want to look like I’m in my prime.

So what will he do after the game phase ends?

“I don’t think anything will fit my football career,” Brady said. “I think it’s too difficult to replicate that level of energy, performance and adrenaline. That’s kind of why I want to go all the way, because I want to make sure I don’t look back and think to myself, “Man, I could always do this.”

Based on his arm and his mind, he could still do it until he was 50 and beyond. The challenge becomes his legs. Have the ability to move quickly enough to escape pressure and avoid taking hits. The more it is touched, the more it is likely to be injured. And the more inevitable it becomes that he quits.

At this point, the best approach is to enjoy the show. It ends when it ends. No one knows when the end will come, probably including Brady.
