Tom Brady will always make an extra effort for his teammates, even if it means going well beyond his comfort zone.
This was the case last Sunday when the quarterback of the Patriots was found blocker in chief early in the fourth quarter against the Jets. New England called Phillip Dorsett, wide receiver, which allowed Brady to follow the sideline in search of a contact.
Brady's attempt to block Jamal Adams, New York's hard-hitting safety team, was weak at best, but it was impressive to see the 42-year-old join the group. Dorsett certainly appreciated the unexpected "physics" of his quarterback, which he clearly explained with an Instagram post on Monday.
In a clever moment of consciousness, Brady recognized his shortcomings as a blocker.
"Try to free my free guy !! Need a lot of work in the blocking department, "wrote Brady in the comments section.
It was a stellar afternoon for the Patriots quarterback. Brady completed 28 of 42 pass attempts for 306 yards with two touchdowns, allowing New England to improve to 3-0 this season.
