Following the Tampa Bay Buccaneers’ victory over the Washington football team last weekend, Washington rookie Chase Young and Tampa Bay quarterback Tom Brady met in midfield to exchange jokes and greeting. Young called Brady the GOAT and asked the 43-year-old a favor: send him his jersey.

This conversation was picked up thanks to the mic function in which NFL teams engage some players in the form of microphones in their pads.

In the end, Brady kept his promise to the Washington rookie and even had a bit of fun with the jersey gift with his signing. In addition to addressing the defender and saying “BEST LUCK!” he added a cheeky “GO BLUE!” referring to the rivalry, albeit one-sided in recent years, between Michigan (where Brady went to school) and the state of Ohio (where Young went to school).

At the end of Washington’s final regular season game, Young was caught on camera shouting “I WANT BRADY” as he jumped his way to the tunnel after his team clinched a playoff berth. While he was unable to wrap up the quarterback and knock him down in the game, he was able to achieve something almost as good-looking: a play-worn jersey of a quarterback he considers the best of all time. Not a bad substitute.
