It was the most daring pass of Tom Brady’s career.
At the Tampa Bay Buccaneers boat parade on Wednesday down the Hillsborough River to celebrate their 2021 Super Bowl victory, the 43-year-old quarterback tossed the Lombardi Trophy from his yacht to someone on another boat.
Brady told reporters he was enjoying the “incredible” celebration, his seventh after winning six rings with the Patriots, which saw the river packed with boats.
“Is anyone working today?” Certainly not,” Brady said.
Brady didn’t just take his yacht to a Super Bowl parade of boats. He was also escorted by police, with authorities ensuring the safety of his ship during the celebration – held in place of a traditional parade due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
Brady’s boat is 12 meters long and called ‘Viva a Vida’, the name of his model wife Gisele’s environmental conservation initiative. TMZ reported that it costs a few million dollars.
