Tom Felton was rescued by surf icon Kelly Slater after collapsing during the Ryder Cup Celebrity Tournament in Wisconsin last Thursday.

Kelly, 46, who is considered the greatest professional surfer of all time, rushed to rescue the actor and put him in the recovery position.

The eleven-time world champion competed on the rival US team and was on the 18th hole when the Harry Potter star, 34, collapsed.

A source revealed to The Sun: “Everyone was stunned and bewildered, but what the cameras didn’t see was Kelly stepped right into the action.

“He ran over to Tom and immediately put him in the recovery position long before medics arrived on the scene.

“He then stayed with him to keep him calm and keep him as safe as possible.”

On Monday Tom said he “was feeling better every day”.

He left fans worried after suffering a medical emergency at Whistling Straits golf course in Sheboygan.

Taking to Instagram to ease his worried followers, Tom said, “I’m officially in good shape, in case you’re worried.”

“People took very good care of me, so thank you very much to everyone who sent recovery messages as I’m officially in good shape, in case you are worried.

“Thank you very much for your help, I am on the road to recovery. It’s time to see some action for the Ryder Cup. ‘

It’s still unclear what caused the Apparition actor’s collapse.

The image quickly spread on social networks, thanks to several fan accounts dedicated to the popular actor.

Felton’s frightening fall came as he represented Europe in a celebrity six-party golf tournament at the Ryder Cup.

The competition has become a popular preamble to the real tournament, where professional golfers compete every two years, in the US or UK.

Onlookers warmly applauded the actor when he was taken off the course Thursday for further treatment – the day after his 34th birthday.
