Top 2018 Baby Names Revealed by the Social Security Administration

Archie is not one of the Top 10 boys names in the United States, but do not expect that in the future.

Social Security released Friday its annual list of the best baby names. For 2018, Emma and Liam were again the most popular names. This is the second year in a row for Liam, the fifth for Emma.

Of course, the new Royal King of the United Kingdom, Archie Harrison Mountbatten-Windsor, was born only on Monday. But Social Security says his mother – Meghan Markle, who is now the Duchess of Sussex – seems to have already influenced American parents.

Meghan was the fastest growing girl name in 2018, rising from the number 1,404 in 2017 to 703. The American actress married the British Prince Harry last year.
